| The Morgans at the Homestead are very special to us, each and every one claims a little piece of our heart. We feel fortunate to have been blessed with their presence and even though they now reside in new pastures they will not be forgotten. Their new stewards will always be considered family. It is with great pride that we introduce you to the Homestead "KinFolk". |

Dana Bell-Crossland is certainly no stranger to our KinFolk family. Always
a fan of both Rum Runner and Hija, I am not surprised that our dunskin filly
HMSTD Buckwheat Betty ended up in her capable hands. We know from past
experience that Buckwheat Betty will not only become an awesome trail
companion but will also have a positive impact on Dana's program.

We are so pleased to introduce and welcome Helen Kwong of Black Creek,
British Columbia into our KinFolk family. While it was sad to see Scandias
Simply The Best leave the Homestead we have no doubt that his new life will
see him being very pampered and loved. We look forward to hearing about all
their adventures and getting lots of pictures. Helen is a welcome addition
to our great extended family.

It seems that every foaling season there is one baby that just manages to creep it’s way just a little deeper into my heart. From the moment HMSTD Jonesey was born he let you know that he was special. From his unique shade of buckskin that kept everyone asking me if he wasn’t a palomino to his laid back easy going personality, he always managed to put a smile on our faces. We are so fortunate that great homes always seem to present themselves for our Morgans. When John Thompson of Las Vegas, Nevada, called to say that he was smitten with our Jonesey we just knew the two would be another perfect match. We are honored to welcome you into our KinFolk family John and look forward to watching Jonesey become the best he can be under your care. |

Every so often there is a foal born that you just know they are special.
HMSTD Cream Of The Crop was one of those foals. From the moment he was
born he loved us and trips to the pasture took on a special meaning. We
knew during the two years Niblet was with us that he would be eventually
leaving to go and grace the pastures of Maple N Mane Morgans. We are
confident that Niblet is going to produce outstanding get in the years
to come. John and I want to thank Delynne and Glenn Oliphant for loving
this
precious soul as much as we do. |
Liz Robb is certainly no stranger to our KinFolk family as she purchased
our buckskin mare Two J Baby Cakes from us a few years ago. She has
always admired Moonbow and when we decided to take things a little
easier we knew Liz would give Moonbow the perfect home. We know that
Moonbow is going to have a positive influence on Elnoresh Morgans'
breeding program. |
We have always marvelled at what big movement HMSTD Caribbean Smuggler
has and knew that when the right home presented itself it was going to
be a great one. Marlene Gallon of Stiles, New Brunswick trains her own
horses and breaks them to drive. She has always wanted a palomino
Morgan and when she saw a picture of Smuggler and saw his bloodlines she
knew he was the one. We can hardly wait to get pictures of Smuggler
hitched up to one of Marlene's beautiful buggies.

Frances Oles of Haines Junction, Yukon had dreamed of owning a cream horse one day. During a visit to our website HMSTD Sweet Mother Of Purl caught her eye and she knew that this was the horse of her dreams. We are so pleased not only to welcome Frances into our KinFolk family but also to welcome her into the Morgan breed. We know that many happy times and adventures lay ahead for Frances and Miss Purl. |
Diana Jasica of Oelegem, Belgium is certainly no stranger to us. When Diana told us that she wanted to add a perlino mare to her program we knew that HMSTD Moonlite Serenade was exactly what Diana was looking for. While it is difficult to say goodbye to someone as sweet and easy going as Sara we knew that Diana would give her the perfect home. Sara is expecting her first foal by Scandias Simply The Best in late April and we know the foal is going to be nothing short of outstanding. We are confident that Sara will prove to be an integral part of Diana's wonderful program! |

We were so pleased when the Oliphant family of Alix, Alberta contacted us about purchasing HMSTD Pistol Pete. Through their earlier purchase of HMSTD Adios Reality we have had the opportunity to get to know Delynne and her family and felt Pete would be a perfect fit. We are already looking forwarding to receiving pictures of Kaylie and Shaelynn leading Pete through the obstacle course come spring. |

HMSTD Sun Of A Gun is the last foal from the Zipper/Buttercup cross and it seemed very fitting that Gunner should find his home with Dana Crossland of Clive, Alberta. Dana is no stranger to our KinFolk family having purchased HMSTD Rainwashed and HMSTD Number 9 Buckshot from us previously. We are honoured that we were able to make Dana's life long dream of owning a buckskin a reality. Since Dana is a very hands on type of lady we know there will be lots of newsy emails and pictures in our future. |
Over the years we have been blessed to see so many of our beautiful Morgans choose their owners. Bev Dunn of Powell River, British Columbia waited for over a year for her special buckskin thinking all the while that she knew exactly what she wanted and hoping that one particular mare was going to produce the gelding of her dreams. Well that mare provided Bev with exactly what she thought she wanted but when Hija gave birth to a dunskin colt there was something about HMSTD Well Done aka Tuff that just kept tugging at her heart. When they finally came to visit and got the opportunity to meet their boy, Tuff left the rest of the herd and marched right over to Bev and her husband Don as if to say, "it's about time you got here". We are so pleased that our special dunskin boy is now a member of the Dunn family.

When Scarlet went out on lease to the Cook's in Goshen, Indiana several years ago I knew that she would become part of their family. I believe there are times when horses really decide where their home is meant to be so it was really not a huge surprise when Charlene asked if Scarlet could remain with them. Scarlet is a favourite of not only the Cook's but of the many people that come to ride on a regular basis and in my heart I knew that is where Scarlet should remain. We believe that Scarlet is where she belongs and know that she will produce many more outstanding foals when crossed with their foundation stallion Edgefield Sun Gold. We are proud to have Charlene and Greg as KinFolk.

We have always believed that the right homes will present themselves and consequently we are never in a rush to place any of our Morgans.
From the moment HMSTD Bootlegger was born, we knew he was going to develop into a fine stallion and have an impact on someone's program. When circumstances found Carr's inquiring about Bootlegger as their future stallion for their One Day Morgans, we knew that this was the perfect home we had been waiting for.
It gives us such a sense of pride to once again welcome Jerry and Terry Carr to our fantastic KinFolk family |
