We were overjoyed when Karleen Gose of Inyan Kara Morgans expressed an
interest in her young stallion's maternal brother Hmstd
Bacardi Gold. Perhaps she felt that the odds of her being at the
Homestead when he was born and the fact that Bacardi was born on the
same day as her Hmstd Electric Cowboy was just too much of a coincidence
to ignore. We have no doubt, that like his brother Sparky, Bacardi will
mature into a fine breeding stallion.

Finding good homes for our Morgans is always so rewarding but when you
are able to place two paternal brothers in great homes with two sisters
who live close together and the horses are able to stay together, it
certainly gives us a great feeling!
Hmstd Number 9 Buckshot comes from one of our favorite mares and from
day one we formed a special bond with Buckshot. Buckshot's new owner is
Dana Crossland of Clive, Alberta. Dana has been working with her new
boy over the summer and has now started him under saddle. Dana is a
member of a grand entry precision drill team and we are looking forward
to one day watching Number 9 Buckshot join her in the arena. Welcome to
the Homestead KinFolk Family Dana!

Hmstd Adios Reality was the last foal born in 2003 and was always
lovingly referred to as the baby. Despite being months younger than his
siblings he never let that stop him from joining in. Taking after his
sire R-Two Little Zipper, he quickly became known as the foal that could
win anyone over. This spring we sent Adios with Buckshot to southern
Alberta to receive some training. It came as no surprise when we
received a call from Delynne Oliphant of Clive, Alberta saying that she
just couldn't part with Adios Reality and would like to purchase him.
We know that no matter what Adios's future holds he is an important
member of Delynne's family and that is what matters the most.
Thank you Delynne for loving Hmstd Adios Reality as much as we do. |

There is no doubt in our minds that Hmstd Caribbean Breeze will love her
new home. This sweet filly loves people and I am sure that Kathy and
David Flanagan's children Kayla and Tommy will help Cari settle in. We
are so pleased to have the Flanigan family from Smiths Creek, Michigan
join our KinFolk family.

Not very often do we get the opportunity to meet our clients before they
officially become KinFolk. I was so lucky to have met and chummed with
Eileen Blake long before Hmstd Dewrunrum made his entrance. When Duey
was born I
just knew that he would be the perfect Morgan for the Blake family and
they would be the perfect family for Dewrunrum. We are proud to call
Eileen, Kelly and Seana KinFolk! |

If Krila's Solar Flare had been allowed to choose her new owner I know she would have
picked Shannon Hicks. Because of a previous injury we knew that Flare
was going to have to be placed in a special home and were we fortunate
to have found such a perfect home. Flare now lives in the beautiful
Slocan Valley in southern British Columbia where the winters are milder
and spring comes much earlier. We would like to publicly thank Shannon
for being Flare's two legged angel. This truly was a match made in
heaven!!
