Jingo

Whoever said good things come in small packages, certainly must have met Jingo.  After an extensive search Dr. Joan Kepros of Cresco, Iowa came across this stunning buckskin and knew that this was the pony she had been searching for.  Joan has gelded Jingo and plans to train him to drive and show him on the pony circuit.  We know that these two are going to make a stunning pair and will be a tough act to beat.  We are proud to have Dr. Joan Kepros in our KinFolk family and would like to also welcome her to the wonderful world of Morgans.

gus

Hmstd Augustus McCray has decided that he would like to take up residence with the Youngbloods of Ojai, California.  Gus is a very good judge of character, so when he nodded his head in approval we knew he had picked a very fine family.  We will forever be grateful to Richard, Adrienne and Anthony for providing such a fantastic home to the first foal ever born on the Homestead.  We are proud to call the Youngbloods KinFolk.

Shato Chocolate Almonds

We could not have hand picked a better home for our beautiful buckskin mare Shato Chocolate Almonds if we would have tried.

Ally's new owner Kathy Clemens raises beautiful Morgans under the name of Camas Mist Morgans at the Bar J3 Ranch in Kamiah, Idaho.  We are confident that Shato Chocolate Almonds will be a perfect fit in Kathy's fine program. We are pleased to have Kathy Clemens join the Homestead KinFolk family.

Once in a lifetime, every person should be blessed by sharing the company of a stallion that is not only beautiful on the outside but on the inside as well.  Gone Gold aka RoadieGone Gold aka Roadie is one of those rare colts that just grabs your heart.  Roadie is part lover, part circus pony and part I will do whatever you ask, when you blend all these parts, he is a sweet sweet boy.  We feel honored to have got to know Gone Gold and will follow his career with great interest.  When it became evident that we were going to be having Hmstd Rum Runner perform 90+% of the breeding duties, we felt it was not fair to under utilize such a fine colt.

Roadie has lived up to his name, putting a lot of miles under his hooves and is fortunate to heading home to take up residence with his original owners Laura and Jim Behning of Brookridge Morgans in Covington, Georgia.  We will remember with fondness the summer that we had the pleasure of getting to know Gone Gold and how he quickly became one of our favorites.

Butterscotch Swirl
Hmstd Butterscotch Swirl was the first filly born on the homestead and consequently will always have a very special place in our hearts.  When we offered her for sale I received an inquiry that was filled with excitement and told how she had admired this filly for so long.  From that moment on I knew these two were meant to be together.  We congratulate Teri Personeni of Terob Morgans in Nevada City, California on the purchase of this beautiful buckskin filly.  You are KinFolk Teri and we couldn't be prouder.  May Butterscotch bless you with a buckskin filly come spring.

From the moment I laid eyes on Hmstd Electric Cowboy aka "Sparky", I knew he was going to have a Hmstd Electric Cowboypositive impact on someone's breeding program.  It seems ironical that this colt is going to be a short distance from his maternal sister Hmstd Chicklette.

The newest addition to our KinFolk family are Karleen and David Gose of Upton, Wyoming. Karleen owns some beautiful Morgan mares and was looking to produce quality colourful foals, we are so pleased that she selected Hmstd Electric Cowboy as her future stud.  Knowing what fine people Karleen and David are, we have no doubt that their breeding program will have a positive effect on the Morgan breed for years to come.  We know Sparky will be loved and nurtured in Karleen's care and we look forward to the birth of Electric Cowboy's colourful foals.
