High Stepping Buttercup is a blend of Brunk and Government bloodlines.  Sunup Neptune is well known for his colour, beauty and for being true to type.  Breezy’s Top Star needs no introduction and Cinnabar who comes from Mohican Farms is a full brother to Californio.

A typical Brunk bred Morgan, Buttercup is a good solid mare with a wonderful disposition.  She is a substantial well balanced mare with an elegant air about her.  She has beautiful eyes, tippy ears and Morgan type to spare.   Perhaps Buttercup’s crowning glory is her excellent disposition.  Despite the fact she is alpha mare she quietly goes about her day and has the respect of those she shares the pasture with.

Without this mare, there would not have been a Homestead Morgans.  High Stepping Buttercup is an outstanding broodmare.  We have crossed her with the stallions Two J Eclipse Kidd, Pal-A-Mor’s Gold, R-Two Little Zipper and Holiday Compadre.   Year after year she stamps all her foals with a consistency that we have come to rely on.  Her foals always have gorgeous heads, wonderful dispositions and size.  Because she is homozygous for both black and agouti all her offspring will be bay, buckskin or perlino.
