The late Robbi-Sue's Misalert, a dunskin mare bred and owned by Julie Ploof, was responsible for the majority of dun Morgans in existence today.  The remainder trace to her maternal half sister, Robbi- Sue’s Dun Ella who is Hija’s maternal grandmother.   Equinox Beaubrook has a wonderful reputation in many breeding programs, as well as many of the horses that carry the Equinox prefix. Beaubrook carries the blood of some of the earlier Equinox horses, carrying his Lippitt heritage through Royalton Ashbrook Darling.  This lends type to the wonderful Robbie Sue lines. Pendleton horses were known early on for producing colour and substance for many programs.  Lineback Hija de Sue has some of the more modern show lines, with Waseeka, Pecos, and In Command, always good horses infused with most any line.

Hija is a Morgan of substance and is by far the biggest and tallest mare at the Homestead.  Despite her size she has no aspirations to be lead mare.  Her easy going attitude and love of attention have made her a favourite.  Started under saddle, Hija is a very smooth steady mount.
