HMSTD Unsinkable Ms Brown aka Molly is a mare that through tragedy showed us just how much guts, determination and will to live our Morgans possess. During the first few hours of her birth Molly’s was accidently stepped on and she suffered one clean break to the radius bone in her front leg. Before she had lived out her first day she had to undergo two hours of surgery to have a 10” pin inserted in her leg. It was a tough summer for us all and it seemed every time we lost hope she would do something to let us know she was trying. Her will to live was unbeatable. Many years later Molly runs with a limp but always manages to keep up with the herd.

 

Because of her injury we chose to not start her under saddle as we did not want to put additional stress on her joints. She has proven that she can indeed produce a quality foal and in the future we will breed her again.

 

For us, HMSTD Unsinkable Ms Brown is a daily reminder that one should never lose hope.
