From the time that Hmstd Commander and Chief  (Holiday Compadre x High Stepping Buttercup) was born I have dreamed of crossing Buttercup's son Rum Runner with a Holiday Compadre daughter.  The mind's eye envisioned just how perfect this foal would be.

Fifteen days before her due date our Holiday Compadre daughter Gracie gave birth to an exquisite buckskin filly.  Hmstd Carolina Dream is everything that we thought the cross would be.  Carolina is very calm and accepting, adventurous and very self assured.  It is as if she knows that she is really something special.
